What do we mean by sustainability?

The world in which we work is very special. We usually say that whilst others have premises we have environments that stimulate learning and development. Our owner and largest customer, Chalmers University of Technology, places great faith in us to provide a physical campus environment that contributes to making Chalmers strong and unique.

We have a mission

The Chalmers vision “Chalmers – for a sustainable future” has presented us with a major challenge. Our day-to-day work has acquired a distinct sustainability character. Everything we do should be in pursuit of creating sustainable campuses – environmentally, socially andeconomically. We contribute to Chalmers practising what it preaches and functioning as a source of inspiration for others. It is important for us to demonstrate clearly what we mean by sustainability. In what way do we act to promote positive social development? Based on our sustainability mission “Chalmersfastigheter will be the forerunner in development, construction and management for a sustainable future” we have defined ourposition in a range of issues presented in this document. However, definingour position is of no consequence if it is not accompanied by firm action. We will keep you informed continuously via our website about what we have done, what we are currently doing and what we plan to do. By adopting an open approach we share our experiences and in doing so contribute to creating a sustainable future.
