Parking in the Chalmers campus area 2019
Since 2019, we’ve been working together with Parking in Gothenburg, which has been engaged to handle sales, parking security and matters concerning parking in the Chalmers campus area.

Visiting
Temporary visitors to the area may pay using the Parking in Gothenburg app or by payment card in ticket vending machines.
Authorized parking permit
There are several types of parking permits in the Chalmers campus area available for purchase by employees, students or tenants of Chalmersfastigheter. Parking in Gothenburg has the right to check that you are authorized to purchase a permit.
Parking conditions
Parking is subject to availability and you are not guaranteed parking space. Availability may vary depending on groundwork in progress, construction or other closures. For example, during the carnival float building period in April, Gibraltarvallen is partially closed. Parking permits are personal and may not be transferred or resold. Only one purchase per person per year may be made.
Green vehicles
There is a regular parking charge within the Chalmers campus area.
Parking spaces for the disabled and temporary spaces
Personal parking spaces for the disabled can be arranged for those with a permit issued by the City of Gothenburg Traffic & Public Transport Authority. If you have a temporary disability, you can get a parking space next to your workplace for a short period of time. Contact your human resources manager. In other respects, City of Gothenburg rules apply.
Parking in locked multi-storey car parks
If you wish to park in a multi-storey car park, you must also activate your permit on the Chalmers access card in the relevant card readers. Unless otherwise agreed, only holders of valid parking permits are authorized. Submit your details to kundtjanst@parkeringgoteborg.se. Please state the building, the period and serial number of your parking permit and the T or MFC number printed on your access card. See local signage for parking hours.
Charging electric vehicles
A charging permit à SEK 300 per month is required as a supplement to your parking permit for parking in spaces with chargers (green permit expires). Charging permits are sold as digital permits. Holders of parking permits who seldom charge their cars pay SEK 5 per hour in the app for charging time. Contact kundtjanst@parkeringgoteborg.se for more information.
