Parking 2013
Here you can download and print out a parking map for the Johanneberg Campus and the Lindholmen Campus.
Who is allowed to buy a parking ticket/permit?
Employees within the Chalmers Group, students enrolled with the Chalmers student union and employees at external companies that lease premises through Chalmersfastigheter are entitled to buy a permit. Employees not on the Chalmers employment list at the end of November 2009 must produce a certificate of employment or a similar document if they wish to buy a permit. Students must present a student union receipt.
Parking conditions
Parking is only permitted in designated areas and for a maximum of 24 hours in the same place unless stated otherwise. Parking is subject to availability and a parking permit does not carry a guarantee that a parking space is always available. The availability of parking spaces can vary depending on construction work, which could mean that certain areas are cordoned off. During the Chalmers Parade in April, for example, parts of Gibraltarvallen are closed.
The Chalmersfastigheter website, www.chalmersfastigheter.se, contains up-to-date information about changes in parking conditions.
Parking tickets/permit
The following parking tickets/permits are available: Yearly ticket, six-monthly ticket, season ticket, monthly ticket and a permit sticker (hourly charge payable). The permit is personal and non-transferable and cannot be sold. There is a penalty for improper use. Only one parking ticket (or two six-monthly tickets) per person per year can be purchased. On production of a previously purchased six-monthly permit or a yearly ticket a permit sticker can be purchased for other times of the year. Once a permit has been purchased it cannot be sold back. The permit is valid for parking on both the Johanneberg Campus and the Lindholmen Campus.
The permit is a valuable document and must be kept safe. Lost or stolen parking permits are not replaced. In the event of theft or similar a new permit can be purchased if the holder can produce a police report.
Where can I buy a parking ticket?
Employees on the Johanneberg Campus can buy tickets from the Cremona Chalmers bookshop at the Student Union (Kårhuset) and students can buy tickets from the Student Union office. Opening hours Cremona: 8.45 am – 4.30 pm and at the Student Union office 08.30 am – 4.00 pm. Closed for Christmas 17.12-7.1.
Employees and students on the Lindholmen Campus can buy a ticket from Café Kokboken, the Student Union Office, Lindholmen.
Parking in the Student Union garage, Johanneberg Campus
To enter the garage a Chalmers entry card is required, which includes authorisation for the card readers in question. Authorised persons are those persons who have bought a yearly ticket or a six-monthly ticket. Authorisation is registered by Chalmersfastigheter, which can only be reached by e-mail at parkering@cfab.chalmers.se. State the period and number on your parking sticker as well as the number on your entry card.
Visitors
Visitors can park in all designated parking spaces on both campuses. Charge: Johanneberg SEK 10/hour, Lindholmen SEK 5/hour.
Parking spaces for the disabled and temporary parking spaces
Personal parking spaces are allocated to disabled persons who have a permit from the Traffic Board. If you have a temporary disability you can be allocated a parking space beside your workplace for a limited period of time. Contact your human resources officer.
